My name is Cedric Penn Jr. I was born in Birmingham, Alabama at Brookwood Hospital. I attended Ramsay High School. I'm a freshman biology major at Morehouse College. Life was wonderful, I had great parents who always showed me love and attention. Because I was sheltered, I never knew how unpredictable the world was until the age of seven. My father passed away, leaving me confused about why is this life so unpredictable. Being raised by a single mother, made me look towards life differently. Many questionable lead me to the conclusion that I wanted to make a difference in the world. The pain and confusion that I felt, was something that I didn't want others to face. After studying the human body, I decided I wanted to become a physician in order to help others. During my senior year of high school, my decision was confirmed when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was reaffirmed that I needed to become a physician in order to help those around me. When I was accepted into Morehouse, I knew that everything would be fine and that I was headed in the right direction.
